As summer comes to a close (sigh), it’s time to take advantage of our last days of sunshine and warm weather before the leaves are falling and it’s all things Steelers for the coming months. If you feel like you haven’t lived your best summer life to the fullest yet, the good news is you still have over a month left to check some items off of our end of summer bucket list!

1. Have a patio date at a women-owned bar or restaurant

Grab your significant other, your girls, or fly solo and treat yourself to a night on a patio.

For a date night: Lilith

• What to expect: Intimate and cozy restaurant by Chefs Dianne DeStefano and Jamilka Borges focusing on eclectic and coastal fare inspired by their Sicilian and Puerto Rican heritage.
• What to order: While they have a rotating menu, they have some staples that are always on. Definitely go for the tuna tartare and the lobster rolls (obviously).

For brunch: Square Cafe

• What to expect: Specializing in fresh breakfast & lunch foods made with local ingredients and lots of love.
• What to order: Lemon-berry ricotta pancakes for those with a sweet tooth, and chicken & waffle for those feeling savory. They have vegan & vegetarian options, as well as fun seasonal specials!

For girls’ night: DiAnoia’s Eatery

• What to expect: The dining experience of your favorite Italian vacation with the warmth and coziness of a friendly neighborhood restaurant.
• What to order: Fresh bread with olive oil & whipped ricotta is a must and their espresso martini is second to none!

Best patio vibes: Happenstance Café

• What to expect: Relaxed, artfully designed cafe offering breakfast sandwiches, salads, burgers and tacos plus beer and wine.
• What to order: Depends on the time of day! Breakfast, lunch, handhelds and all of the coffee, beer & wine, you could ask for.

2. Shop fall transition pieces at a locally owned boutique

The weather will be chilly before we know it, but one of our favorite things about Pittsburgh is the fall weather. You have plenty of time to rock those fall transition pieces, and the local boutiques already have them on the shelves ready for you to grab!
